Overnight closures on Hwy 99, 58 set for July 22-24

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The city of Bakersfield announced overnight closures on highways 99 and 58 next week as crews are set to demolish portions of the eastbound 58 and 99 bridge.

Nighttime full closures of eastbound Highway 58 at the Ming Avenue, to southbound Highway 99 off-ramps, are scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 22 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. every night.

The closures will continue through Thursday, July 24 while crews perform demolition activities, city officials said.

When bridges are closed, drivers can exit at the southbound Highway 99 off-ramp, go through White Lane and follow the detour to northbound 99 than eastbound 58, according to city officials…
