Police link Buffalo homicide to domestic violence: Family Justice Center speaks out

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police say they believe this week’s homicide on South Ogden was a result of domestic violence.

Rickey M. Crouch, 49, was arraigned on Friday afternoon before an Erie County Court judge. He has been charged with one felony count of murder and one violent felony count of criminal possession of a weapon, the District Attorney’s Office said.

Prosecutors accuse Crouch of shooting and killing 44-year-old Amanda Thompson of Buffalo with an illegal firearm shortly after midnight on Thursday, July 17, at her home on the 600 block of South Ogden Street. She was declared dead at the scene…
