Man facing DUI manslaughter charges in Margate crash killing 3 appears in court

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A man who police said was under the influence of alcohol and driving at more than 40 mph over the speed limit when he ran a red light and caused a crash killing three people appeared in front of a Broward County judge Friday.

Jeremiah Terrance Anderson, 26, of Fort Lauderdale, is facing more than a dozen criminal charges in connection with the crash, which happened just before midnight on Jan. 15 at North Rock Island Road and Royal Palm Boulevard in Margate.

According to an arrest report from the Margate Police Department, vehicle data showed that Anderson was driving his BMW 86 mph in a 45 mph zone when he ran a red light and slammed into a silver Honda, killing three people: Brayan Steven Wilches Nino, 24, Diana Carlino Nino Espinosa, 47, and Nancy Sanchez, 26…
