Route 61 Diner, 3455 Pottsville Pike, Reading, complaint, July 13. Fail. Food was held at 46.1 degrees, in the cook’s refrigerator, rather than 41 degrees or below as required. Can opener blade soiled; corrected on inspection. Fan guards in walk-in refrigerator are dusty/soiled. Wall in walk-in refrigerator is soiled. Observed no chemical sanitizer being used on equipment and utensils after washing and rinsing them, and prior to use. Sink plug required for sanitizing sink. Food employee observed storing clean food equipment while wet and not allowing time for draining and/or air-drying. Several pots stored directly on the floor in rear storage room; corrected on inspection. Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the food prep area. Corrected on inspection. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the food prep area. Corrected on inspection.
