Murfreesboro, TN – A major two-vehicle crash shut-down a stretch of the 2900 block of South Rutherford Boulevard in front of the Walart Shopping Center on Friday (7/18/2025). The preliminary report shows that two-vehicles were involved and one of them veered off the roadway and came to rest in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex, causing additional property damage.
Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers confirmed that the department’s Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) was deployed due to the severity of one driver’s injuries. That individual was transported to the hospital in critical condition, while the other driver was taken to the ER with less serious injuries.
