Driver Accused of Speeding While Drunk in Margate Crash That Killed Three

A man was arrested Thursday for a high-speed, alcohol-fueled crash in January that killed three people and injured two others in Margate, authorities said.

Jeremiah Terrance Anderson, 26, of Fort Lauderdale, faces more than a dozen felony charges, including multiple counts of vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter, following a six-month investigation into the deadly wreck that occurred just before midnight on Jan. 15.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Margate Police Department, vehicle data showed Anderson was driving a 2018 BMW at 86 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone when he ran a red light at the intersection of North Rock Island Road and Royal Palm Boulevard…
