Bank robberies are traumatic events for the victims even in the most calm scenarios. One Missouri bank robber not only grabbed funds from a bank, but also fired at a witness and will now face more than 11 years in prison.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Missouri, a bank robber will have more than a decade in prison to think about the error of his ways. They say Jeffery Alexander, 64, of St. Louis pled guilty to one count of bank robbery, one count of discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He robbed this bank in the 1000 block of North Highway 67 on April 13, 2022.
The statement from the feds says Alexander was followed by a witness who saw the bank robbery and he fired his weapon at them, but did not hit them. Police found Alexander in his truck just two miles from the bank with his firearm and money from the bank robbery…
