Scattered storms again Friday, big heat builds this weekend

ST. LOUIS – Let’s watch for spots of fog out the door Friday morning behind Thursday night’s pockets of heavy rain.

More scattered storms are expected Friday as the front draped across the region lifts back to the north. While widespread severe weather is not expected, as we’ve seen, these storms can produce short, intense bursts of heavy rain, frequent lightning, and big pushes of wind.

Best chances for storms Friday will be along and south of I-70 in both MO and IL. Highs are expected to be in the 80s again Friday. Some scattered showers are also possible overnight and wake-up temperatures this Saturday morning will be in the 70s.

Big heat builds this weekend and is expected to continue well into next week, with highs over the weekend that may hold in the lower 90s due to scattered storms…
