SPRINGFIELD–Chandler Blanchet didn’t break a sweat during the first two rounds of the 36th Annual Price Cutter Charity Championship, but he did feel the heat during Saturday’s third round.
The 36-hole leader teed off number one at -20, but unlike the previous two days, Blanchet only recorded one birdie on his opening nine holes. The two bogeys he also had put him at one-over when he made the turn, which placed him into a tie for the lead with Kevin Dougherty, at -19.
Today was a little bit more of a grind than the last few days,” said 54-hole leader, Chandler Blanchet. “I hit it really, really well, yesterday, and the day before, and putt well. Today, had a couple three-putts on the front nine. Nobody said it was going to be easy.”…
