ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – About 200 people brought their bikes out to Margaret Eagan Sullivan Park in Anchorage Saturday for nonprofit Bike Anchorage’s yearly Bike the Moose fundraiser, Bike Anchorage Executive Director Alexa Dobson said.
They all looked to try their hands – and pedals – at tackling the 32-mile Moose Loop, a linkup of Anchorage’s Greenbelt trails that resembles the head of a moose.
The 200 registrations are more than the organization has ever seen at a Bike the Moose event, and it continues a trend.
“This has been a really big year,” Dobson said. “We have been posting records with just about every event that we’ve had.”…
