Man arrested for allegedly shooting at occupied vehicle in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for allegedly shooting into an occupied vehicle in Augusta early Saturday.

According to RCSO, deputies responded to a residence on Reese Avenue regarding a report of a vehicle being struck by gunfire at 12:39 a.m. on July 19. The sheriff’s office stated that the occupants of the vehicle said a verbal altercation took place at a convenience store on Peach Orchard Road, and as they were driving home, multiple gunshots were fired at the car.

Police said an infant was also among the occupants in the vehicle at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported, and investigators responded to the scene to collect evidence…
