Walmart assault suspect charged

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Five felony counts have been filed against a woman who was shot after allegedly trying to attack police officers with a knife outside a southwest Bakersfield Walmart.

Court records show Deashanay Holmes, 26, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, aggravated assault and three counts of resisting arrest. She’s also charged with misdemeanor battery.

She was due in court Friday but her arraignment was postponed to Monday.
