CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The Live 5 Exhibit opened at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry on July 20, 2024, giving visitors a glimpse of what it’s like to be part of a television production.
The broadcast-themed exhibit features an interactive weather wall, anchor desk and camera housed inside a downscaled facade of WCSC’s building in West Ashley.
The grand opening kicked off with five winning families from a social media contest having one-on-one chats with First Alert Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh and learning how to use the interactive green screen to show the weather.
Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry President and CEO Karen Coltrane says she had seen mini-news station exhibits at other children’s museums before.
This interactive exhibit will be at the museum until at least 2029…
