Here’s the scoop: Hall’s Ice Cream has a new owner

For generations, Hall’s Ice Cream of Millerstown has been more than just a local business. It can be labeled a summer ritual, a neighborhood gathering spot, a symbol of homegrown pride. That tradition now enters a new chapter as longtime owner Peggy Raub has handed over the reins to brothers Kole and Kyle Barrick as of July 1.

Raub, whose family has run Hall’s since its inception, reflected warmly on the history. “My dad started making the ice cream in 1947. He made the first batch for his own wedding.”

Since then, Hall’s Ice Cream has grown from humble beginnings into a regional staple, producing more than 40 flavors and supplying everything from local farmer’s markets to the Pennsylvania State Farm Show…
