VINTON Va. (WFXR)– An electrical fire on 8th Street in Vinton “was caused by electrical energy from a charging hoverboard,” according to the Roanoke County Fire Marshals Office.
The fire occurred Friday evening, just after 5 p.m.
Roanoke County Fire and Rescue responded. Everyone inside the home made it out safely, according to the agency. The Red Cross was contacted to assist a family of four displaced by the fire.
