Volunteers surge into Travis County for back-breaking work of clearing debris

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — Volunteers have surged into Travis County to take on the monumental task of helping those devastated by the July 5 floods.

One two-story home has stood on the banks of Sandy Creek for almost 50 years. It has weathered other storms and floods, but nothing like the raging waters that tore the house apart two weeks ago.
