(Iowa) — Forecasters are warning of an increased threat of severe weather and heavy rainfall across Iowa this weekend, as multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected to move through the region.

A Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather has been issued for central and southeast Iowa, where damaging winds and a brief tornado are the primary concerns.
