WASHINGTON (7News) — The heat and humidity takes a break this week thanks to an incoming cold front from the Great Lakes. Before the front arrives, expect hot and humid temperatures in the 90s and the heat index up to 100 degrees.
A passing shower or storm is possible throughout the afternoon, a 20% chance for rain remains in the forecast today. Any storm may contain gusty winds and heavy rain.
Afternoon temperatures will rise to the lower to middle 90s across the area.
