SPOKANE, Wash. — A 30-unit tiny home village is in the works to aid Spokane individuals experiencing homelessness as they transition out of emergency shelters and into permanent housing.
The Waters Meet Foundation, formerly Empire Health Foundation, is developing a pilot tiny home village in the West Hills on property owned by the foundation. The group says the location meets shelter siting criteria as it is on a transit line and not within 1,000 feet of a school.
The project consists of temporary tiny homes as well as communal spaces, including indoor shower and toilet facilities, a laundry room, and a communal kitchen.
