MANASSAS, Va. (7News) — Police are searching for a suspect who they said attempted to carjack a 61-year-old woman in Manassas, Virginia.
Officers with the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) were called to Sudley Road and Portsmouth Road on July 15 to investigate a carjacking. They discovered that the woman was in her car, stopped at a stop sign, when an unknown man approached her.
The man opened her passenger door, got into the vehicle and attempted to remove the keys from the ignition. He also left damage to the inside of the car, PWCPD said…
