How Atlanta’s 535-mile trail plan could change the city

ATLANTA — A transformative trail project is underway in Atlanta, with city leaders approving a comprehensive 535-mile plan aimed at connecting neighborhoods to nature and one another.

Called the Trails ATL Master Plan, the initiative marks one of the city’s most ambitious efforts to expand access to green spaces and improve mobility, weaving together transit options, tree-lined paths, and community purpose.
