Racehorse inspired beer launches at Ellis Park

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A new beer is coming to Ellis Park to commemorate one of their own in a collaboration with a local brewery in Owensboro, and it’s all for a good cause.

“His name is Here Mi Song and he is an eight-year-old horse,” Brew Bridge brewer Will Gomez said. “We designed the can in-house, we brewed the beer and a percentage of the proceeds will go to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund for jockeys that have suffered injuries during races.”

Ahead of the Jeff Hall Memorial Stakes Race, Ellis Park has teamed up with Brew Bridge to curate a beer after one of their own racehorses attempting at a third victory at this race who was owned, bred and trained locally…
