FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Summertime in Fort Wayne means everyone is trying to get corn with small kernels, straight lines that look sweet as candy. Those ears come with rainfalls like this past weekend’s.
Steve Nye, co-owner of Aunt Gena’s Gourmet Sweet Corn, said this summer’s been tough on his 80-acre Hicksville farm, which yields around 12,000 ears per acre.
