WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Family, friends and longtime customers gathered to celebrate a baking matriarch Sunday as Marge’s Donut Den marked 50 years of business on 28th Street.
Marge Wilson’s family organized the party and sent out invites on social media less than a week ago, and received 350 responses ahead of Sunday’s party at Abundant Life Church.
Wilson herself was in attendance taking it all in. News 8 asked her what it takes to keep a small business running for so long.
“First of all, God and faith. If you don’t have that, I don’t see how you can do anything,” Wilson, founder of Marge’s Donut Den, said. “Other than that, its just good quality, doing what you say you are going to do, and try to make people happy. It’s that easy.”…
