Kentucky State Police share grateful message from community member in wake of Lexington shootings

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — As communities across Kentucky continue to grieve a week after two Lexington shootings on July 13, state law enforcement shared a message of thoughtfulness and gratitude, especially for an injured trooper during his journey to recover.

On Sunday, July 20, officials with the Kentucky State Police (KSP) posted a “Thank a Trooper” message sent by a woman who wanted to express her gratitude for all they do.

“My heart goes out to those who protect us and serve Kentucky,” the excerpt reads. “My heart goes out to the State Trooper who was shot recently. I am praying that he has a full recovery. You all are doing an amazing job. God bless you and your families.”
