In many ways, the upcoming season is an important one for USC. One of the matchups that is on the schedule that is immensely important is the one against Oregon in Eugene on November 22. Winning on the road is always difficult. Traveling to Autzen toward the end of the season against what has been an improved product from coach Dan Lanning is a different type of challenge.
Although it has to be mentioned that the Ducks may not have as easy a time replicating last year’s success that saw them win the regular season Big Ten championship. They, too, are going to have some questions to answer, except for those who already swear by what will objectively have to be a much-improved Dante Moore since his days at UCLA.
This game, in particular, is about more than one area of the opposing team’s offense or playing away from the Coliseum. When looking at all of the factors and where the two programs are, coach Lincoln Riley getting this late November win would be a great boost to what is a fan base that is largely tired of talk about potential and wants to see some wins piled up.
Way for USC to send message
Going to the Pacific Northwest and reminding Oregon fans of who has more head-to-head matchups would be the exact type of statement that Trojan fans are hoping to see in 2025…
