Teenage boys charged in connection with multiple armed robberies, DC police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police in the District announced Monday that two teenage boys are facing charges in connection with six armed robberies that happened in April and May in Northeast D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said in each incident, the suspects got out of a car, pulled out a gun and demanded the victims’ property. The two were charged for robberies that happened on the following days:

  • April 26 at about 9:35 p.m. in the 3000 block of 7th Street NE
  • April 30 at about 11:10 p.m. in the 500 block of Regent Place NE
  • May 1 at about 2 a.m. in the 300 block of Rhode Island Avenue NE
  • May 1 at about 4:20 a.m. in the 1000 block of Douglas Street NE
  • May 1 at about 4:33 a.m. in the 2600 block of 3rd Street NE
  • May 1 at about 9:45 a.m. in the 3000 block of 7th Street NE

On Sunday, July 20, a 14-year-old boy from Northeast D.C. and a 16-year-old boy from Southeast D.C. were arrested and charged with six counts of Armed Robbery.
