Power restored for thousands in northeastern RI

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — More than 16,000 Rhode Island Energy customers lost power late Monday morning.

According to the utility provider’s outage map, the affected areas were in Central Falls and Pawtucket. Neighboring Attleboro may have had some outages as well.

By 1 p.m., power had been restored to the majority of those homes and businesses.
