Deadline for schools to submit ‘bell-to-bell’ cellphone ban approaches

ALBANY, N.Y. — Governor Kathy Hochul held a roundtable discussion on Monday regarding her upcoming “bell-to-bell” cellphone ban.

The ban prohibits the use of a cellphone inside classrooms from the moment students enter school to the moment they are dismissed. According to the governor, the move will help make classrooms “distraction-free.”
