INVEST 94L has upped 20% chance for potential tropical formation

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The area of low pressure located about 900-miles east-southeast of Lesser Antilles is keeping us on the edge of our seats as its chance for possible tropical formation has been upped to 20% for over the next 48-hours and 7-days.

This area of low pressure now known as “Invest 94L” developed from a tropical wave in the Central Tropical Atlantic.

The National Hurricane Center says its “shower and thunderstorm activity has recently become more concentrated near the center, and environmental conditions are generally favorable for some additional development over the next day or so while the system moves west-northwestward at 10-15 mph.”

The NHC adds that environmental conditions will change come the middle of this week leading to unfavorable for any further development…
