Falls running again in Newton Falls

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (WKBN) – The falls are back in Newton Falls.

Water is once again flowing over the dam near W. Broad Street. Mayor Dave Hanson said the falls returned to normal about three days after our July 3rd report on the dry falls.

At the time, outflow from the dam at West Branch was 28 cubic feet per second. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said the release level was normal for the time of year, adding the agency was trying to hold back water to balance it out with Berlin Lake…
