Tragedy Strikes Duane “Dog” Chapman’s Family as Teenage Stepson Dies in Accidental Shooting

Reality TV star Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman and his family are grieving the loss of his 13-year-old step-grandson, Anthony, who died Saturday evening in Naples, Florida. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, which is believed to have been an accidental shooting involving the boy’s father, Gregory Zecca, Chapman’s stepson.

Law enforcement responded to a shooting incident at a Naples apartment around 8:08 p.m. Saturday.

Although the victim’s name was redacted in the incident report, Chapman and his wife, Francie Frane Chapman, confirmed Anthony’s death in a statement, describing the event as an “incomprehensible tragic accident.” They have requested privacy during this difficult time.

While no arrests have been made, the investigation is ongoing. Zecca, 38, is Francie Chapman’s son from a previous relationship.

Chapman, 72, is best known for his A&E series “Dog the Bounty Hunter.” He married Francie in 2021, two years after the death of his wife, Beth Chapman.

He has been married six times and has 13 children.
