Georgetown to get a new innovative type of health care facility

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) — Coming fall 2026, residents of Scott County will see a new innovative type of resource for health care.

The Town Center at Amerson Orchard, 115 Amerson Way in Georgetown, will soon be home to the two-story Baptist Health innovative ER and urgent care facility. It’s in partnership with the Texas-based group Intuitive Health, an organization that looks to combine emergency services and urgent care under one roof. Jay Woody is the chief medical officer and founder of Intuitive Health.

“We’re in the background. This is the model that we developed over 15 years ago. We know all the efficiencies and the nuances of how to care for patients,” Woody said.

The idea is to not only give residents another avenue to get the care they need, but having these services under the same roof will also give patients a variety of ways to get treated.
