Michael Letzkus, 30, died July 26, 2023 — five days after swimmers noticed him floating face down near 54th Ave. N., roughly a mile from where he was last spotted.
A wrongful death complaint lodged Friday in Horry County Common Pleas Court paints a dire picture of what happened that day — and how Letzkus’ death could have been easily prevented.
