GULF BREEZE, Fla. — This week the city of Gulf Breeze is set to finish phase one of their undergrounding utilities conversion. The project is essentially moving overhead utility lines underground.
Mayor JB Schluter says residents have been asking for this upgrade since 2006, but it has been formally in the works since 2018. Now, they’re looking ahead to phase two.
“This week we’re going to see the polls actually begin to come down,” said Gulf Breeze City Manager Samantha Abell. “And all the work should be done in August.”…
