Swanton Border Patrol, NYSP stop huge illegal fentanyl delivery

On July 5, coordination between Swanton Sector Border Patrol agents and New York State Troopers resulted in the seizure of nearly 5 pounds of powdered fentanyl. — SWANTON, VT. | On July 5, Swanton Sector Border Patrol agents provided information to their law enforcement partners from the New York State Police regarding a vehicle suspected of being involved with smuggling activity in northern New York. The troopers located and stopped the vehicle near Albany.

A subsequent search revealed approximately 4.7 pounds of powdered fentanyl on board — enough to potentially kill more than one million people.
