FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – As far as late-July days go around here, the past couple haven’t been too bad as far as temperatures are concerned! Highs will be similarly comfortable Tuesday, rising into the low 80s with continued low humidity.
A heat dome will expand and pump in some muggier and hotter days and nights after Tuesday, however! Wednesday will reach about 90º with heat index values in the mid to upper 90s, but it looks more likely Thursday and perhaps Friday stand he better chance at seeing heat index values exceed 100º. As a result, Thursday and Friday are First Alert Weather Days.
There is a chance Friday ends up a touch cooler than expected due to a nearby front, which could trigger some midday and evening thunderstorms…
