MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested a man following a chase across county lines.
MCSO said on July 21, agents with the Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a drug operation in Decatur near the intersection of 6th Ave SE and 11th Street SE when they made contact with the suspect, identified as 44-year-old James Michael Simmons.
When MCSO Agents tried to make contact with Simmons, the sheriff’s office said he fled from the scene in his vehicle. MCSO said Agents chased Simmons as he traveled north on 6th Ave, eventually crossing the Hudson Memorial Bridge and entering Madison County…
