Gov. Brian Kemp has appointed three people to serve on a commission that will determine if Theodore Hamby can continue serving as city councilman in Guyton.
According to an executive order issued by Kemp’s office July 17, Attorney General Christopher Carr, Dan Peterson of Perry City Council and Tommy Roberts of Fitzgerald City Council have been called upon as the review commission to determine if Hamby should remain in office. The 3-person committee has 14 days to provide a written letter to Kemp with their decision.
Hamby was arrested March 14 by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and was charged with theft by taking and financial transaction card fraud, according to a press release…
