A female bottlenose dolphin was rescued last week with the help of firefighters and marine animal experts from a South Carolina lagoon to her “safe return home.”
Fortunately, a passerby had noticed the dolphin struggling and contacted the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network.
The 500-pound dolphin, named Lucky had to be carried 75 yards from a shallow tidal lagoon in Bluffton. She was discovered on July 12 and needed help from big hearted heroes to return her to the May River…
