French Quarter driver who allegedly targeted officers with car to remain held without bond

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The Belle Chasse man accused of trying to kill two law enforcement officers with his car last weekend on Bourbon Street will continue to be held without bond, an Orleans Parish Magistrate Court commissioner decided Tuesday (July 22).

Mark Hunter Jr., 24, was denied bond at a hearing to determine the threat he poses to the community, following his arrest for allegedly striking a New Orleans police officer and Orleans Parish deputy sheriff intentionally on July 19 when they tried to stop him from driving a Chevrolet Camaro recklessly at a crowded Bourbon Street intersection.
