GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Brown County officials are apologizing to residents after an emergency alert was sent to people outside of the warning area on Wednesday morning.
Brown County Emergency Management posted the apology about six minutes after the initial alert rang out on phones across the county at 10:02 a.m., stating the situation at Scray Hill Park was resolved.

“People outside the warning area got alerted,” the release said. “We apologize for the unintended message if you received it.”
An initial alert was issued to a small area; however, officials realized that people far outside the area had been alerted and a cancellation was sent. The situation at Scray Hill Park had quickly been resolved after the initial message, and then an all-call went out to ensure the area was safe…
