ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An Albuquerque music venue is set to host a candlelight vigil for Ozzy Osbourne a day after the rock and heavy metal great’s passing.
Revel Entertainment Center is opening their doors Wednesday at 6 p.m. for a candlelight vigil to honor Ozzy. The event is free. It will feature live music. Here is the schedule:
- Darken the Day, 7-7:45 p.m.
- Rapid Fire, 8-8:45 p.m.
- Candlelight vigil, 8:45-9 p.m.
- Prince of Darkness – Ozzy Tribute Band, 9:15-10:15 p.m.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away Tuesday, just weeks after a farewell show in his home city. Osbourne was the frontman of Black Sabbath, the heavy metal band he reunited with during that show.
Osbourne had connections to New Mexico. In a 2018 interview with “The Weekly Alibi,” he mentioned fond memories of writing the song “No More Tears” in New Mexico. That same year, the Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce accepted Osbourne’s application after he visited the city…
