(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that when officers came upon an unresponsive man in a car, he became combative when officers made him get out of the car, hitting an officer in the process, on Wednesday, July 23.
According to CSPD, around 2:30 a.m., when officers arrived at the scene in the 2500 block of Weston Road, near Hancock Expressway and South Circle Drive, and came upon the unresponsive man in the vehicle, they saw drug paraphernalia in plain view. When they made the man, later identified as Enrique Archuleta, leave the car, he began to resist the officers.
CSPD reported that during the struggle, Archuleta hit an officer in the face and injured them. Archuleta was taken into custody and brought in for medical evaluation. He was arrested for distribution of narcotics as well as assaulting a peace officer, among other things…
