Starting July 28, the inside lanes of the 800 block of Broad Street will be closed to vehiciles while crews start building James Brown Linear Park in the street’s median.
The park will sit on the same site as the life-sized James Brown statue that greeted visitors across from Augusta Common since 2005, before it was recently removed to make way for the new construction.
