COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The City of Columbus filed a lawsuit against a North Linden bar it says has a “history of violence” after a recent double shooting.
The lawsuit was filed against First Stop Bar and Grill at 1427 Oakland Park Ave. The lawsuit says the bar also has a history of liquor law violations.
“Bars and nightlife are essential to a vibrant city, but those businesses cannot operate at the expense of public safety,” City Attorney Zach Klein said in a statement. “The moment the Property Action Team had the evidence it needed to bring a case against these owners who don’t seem to care about safety or the law, we filed with the court.”
