FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Friday’s First Alert Weather Day has been canceled. As newer data continues to roll in, it seems a cold front plus rain showers throughout Friday morning should keep a majority of the heat down on Friday. There could be a short time during the afternoon where some of the area could heat up, but it seems Friday shouldn’t be as bad as tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s First Alert Weather Day will continue as we will hit a heat index above 100 degrees. A Heat Advisory is in effect throughout the day tomorrow, before rain showers pick up late tomorrow night and into Friday with that cold front.
More rain expected to start the weekend. Seasonal highs and more rain on Saturday could mean potential for impactful, and much needed, rain fall. We are under a Level 1, Marginal, risk for excessive rainfall on Thursday and Saturday, and a Level 2, Slight, risk on Friday…
