Adults-only arts and craft group tours Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Throughout the summer, Grand Rapids arts and crafts group Hot Glue Creux will be hosting specialized DIY workshops across town and in a variety of artistic mediums.

Hot Glue Creux’s next event — a natural dyes workshop at Speciation Cellars on July 28 — has already sold out.

“We’ve got some regulars and always new faces coming to craft with us,” Jess Chavez, founder of Hot Glue Creux, said. “Our events do sell out frequently.”

The July 28 workshop will invite participants to create one-of-a-kind patterns in cotton socks and clothing from home using natural dyes courtesy of professional fiber artist Olivia Deters.

“We change the crafts every time so that we can keep things exciting for our crew,” Chavez said. “(To) help people learn new skills as well as incorporate professional artists.”…
