CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A three-hour police standoff ended peacefully Wednesday afternoon after a man refused to come out of a home on Weber Road, prompting a large law enforcement response including SWAT officers and a drone.
Corpus Christi Police Department officials named the man as 32-year-old Brandon Bennet. Bennet is being charged with Manufacture /Delivery Controlled Substance PG1 greater than or equal to 4G and less than 200G.
The incident began around noon near the intersection of Weber Road and South Padre Island Drive, where officers with CCPD attempted to serve a warrant to Bennet, who was reportedly believed to have access to weapons inside the residence…
