A father and son have been arrested by Shreveport Police officers investigating suspected firearms trafficking at a home in Southern Hills.
Valentine Carter Jr., 22, and Valentine Carter Sr., 39, were booked into the city jail on expectation of multiple charges. Both potentially will be charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance. Valentine Jr. could be charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Members of the SPD Violent Crime Abatement Team found the younger Carter at a home in the 9500 block of Short Leaf Drive in Shreveport, where they used a warrant to search the residence.
